UrduFix was created for people who can speak Urdu but have had less opportunity to read and write it, as well as for complete beginners. The app is designed for short everyday study sessions, helping learners move between Urdu script, Romanisation, English meaning and spoken pronunciation without needing a formal lesson setting.
The home page leads to three learning areas. Learn Alphabets presents each Urdu letter with its Romanisation, an example and a spoken model. Words & Sentences introduces common daily vocabulary and phrases — including food, numbers, greetings, body parts and transport — with Urdu, Romanisation, English and pronunciation. Test Typing then lets learners type Urdu and hear the text read aloud as a way to practise forming words. Together, these sections give beginners a clear route from recognising letters to meeting simple everyday language.
Three routes into Urdu
- Alphabet buttons with Urdu script, Romanisation, examples and pronunciation
- Everyday words and sentences shown in Urdu, Romanisation and English
- Vocabulary themes including food, numbers, greetings, body parts and transport
- Spoken playback for letters, words and sentences
- A typing area that reads entered Urdu text aloud
