This project supports Pakistani families in Hong Kong who are navigating Urdu, English, Cantonese and Traditional Chinese in daily life. It uses Anki flashcards and quizzes to place the four languages side by side, giving parents and students a simple way to study practical vocabulary, pronunciation and common phrases at their own pace.
The resource is organised around familiar daily themes such as basic phrases, colours, body parts, transport, greetings, emotions and fruits. A card can present the same word or phrase across the relevant languages, creating a bridge between home language, school language and the local community. The project remains a self-study flashcard resource, with interactive conversation practice and wider user testing identified as later needs. It can suit study at home or in a classroom.
