Syllable Squad supports young learners who are beginning to connect the sounds of words with spelling. The first section acts as a self-paced vocabulary review space: children can flip cards to find the word’s audio, part of speech, definition and syllable information, then replay the sound whenever they need another listen.
The Syllable Squad activity turns that review into a listening task. A word is played aloud and the learner selects the number of syllables it contains. The score builds towards ten correct answers, and a wrong response invites another attempt rather than ending the session. Children can return to either the flashcards or the game, giving them a flexible path between learning and practice. The design supports both independent and repeat classroom use.
