Learn English Through Sitcoms

A web-app project that explores using English sitcom material and subtitled clips to make language learning more contextual and engaging for adolescent learners in a familiar format.

Demo walkthrough

This project explores a web-based approach to learning English through sitcoms. Its reported focus is on bringing video-based language material into a more engaging learning setting, using English sitcom clips and subtitles as the starting point for contextual practice. The author’s reflection also identifies the practical work of finding, preparing and processing suitable video material as a central part of the project.

The submitted report is mainly a reflection on the development journey rather than a functional specification. It does not provide enough reliable evidence to describe a detailed, completed public feature set. The public page therefore keeps the introduction modest and avoids claiming specific activities, feedback systems or learning results until the project output or video has been reviewed.
