BlendItOut’s Segment & Blend activity lets a young learner see individual phonemes travel together into a CVC word, with replayable sound dots for listening again before trying the word.
From that gentle starting point, the reported build opens into word families, a missing-consonant spinner and four short CVC challenges — CVC Connect, Whack The Alien, Grab & Read and CVC Space Adventure. The colourful rewards are not the main lesson; they create a reason to stay with the sound pattern long enough for blending to become familiar.
