The final report describes five islands — sh, ch, th, wh and ck — with each asking the learner to see, hear, recognise and say the target pattern.
Learn Mode offers picture-word pairs and slower speech; the quiz checks recognition; Drag & Drop makes spelling tactile; and Say It asks for the learner’s own voice. Completion status and dragon rewards make the next island visible.
Four ways to meet a digraph
- Five digraph islands: sh, ch, th, wh and ck
- Learn Mode with picture-word pairs and slow spoken models
- Multiple-choice quiz and drag-and-drop spelling activities
- Say It speech-recognition practice with “good job” or “try again” feedback
- Avatar choice, island progress and dragon rewards stored on the device
A completed five-island build
The final report documents a completed single-page web app with all five islands and four activity types. Content is stored in JSON so future digraphs, word lists and thresholds can be updated without rewriting the core app.
